Overview
At Glenmary, we are proud of all our Saints and we cheer them on with pride.
The importance of athletics and physical education at Glenmary embodies more than just the benefit of physical activity. Being active increases self-esteem and mental alertness, which makes physical activity a necessity for every school-aged child.
Physical education helps to encourage a balance in mental and physical growth by providing students with opportunities to acquire the skills and knowledge to be physically active as part of a healthy lifestyle. It helps to teach life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and patience and instills discipline and encourages sportsmanship, teaching students to play within the rules, learning to both win and lose with grace.
