J.J. Isaacson Field

J.J. Isaacson Field

The Omaha baseball team moved to J.J. Issacson Field at Seymour Smith Park in 2017 as part of an agreement with the City of Omaha and plays the majority of its home games at the city-run facility. The park was built in 1961 and has a rich local baseball history, hosting countless area high school and college games, as well as numerous high school and American Legion district and state tournaments.

The field underwent over a $200,000 facelift in the fall of 2016, which included a complete regrade, new irrigation, warning track, infield, mound, plate, bullpens and all new sod. Further improvements are on tap in the coming years.

The natural turf field can seat up to 1,000 fans and has dimensions of 325-375-410-375-325. It is fully lighted and has a press box, batting cages, concessions and restrooms on site.

The ballpark is surrounded by family-friendly areas with community fields and courts, a disc golf area, a skeet range and a skate park all on 197 acres.
