Oakland Baseball Field

Home of the Oakland University baseball team, the Oakland Baseball Field has undergone several improvements over the past several years to enhance the gameday experience for both the players and fans. The dugouts were completely redone and extended to allow spacious room for the student-athletes. Other recent improvements include spectator access, a new digital scoreboard, spectator seating, and restrooms.

Spectator access has an improved walkway from the parking structure and a concrete concourse from the home team dugout (on the first base side) which runs the full length of the left field side of the facility. The scope of the project included substantial improvements to electrical access, landscaping and a retaining wall along the spectator hill and internet services for media.

The Golden Grizzlies retired the No. 4 jersey of Brad Jones (2003-04) in 2015 and his number hangs on the outfield fence in left field.
