World War Memorial Stadium

World War Memorial Stadium or as it is most commonly known, War Memorial Stadium, is one of the oldest active baseball parks in the nation. The building was designed in 1926 and it opened for the first time in 1928. Although it was designed for football, it is an excellent place to watch and play a baseball game.

It serves as the home field for the North Carolina A&T baseball team. It is conveniently located near North Carolina A&T's campus on the corner of Lindsay Street and Yanceyville Avenue. The park's location is not only an asset for the program, but its former minor league ballpark status gives the Aggies an outstanding home field. There is a clubhouse for the players with each player issued a locker. On the field, War Memorial's classic ballpark landscape and short porch in right field makes it a hitter's delight. The Aggies often are among the nation's best teams in hitting home runs.

The majority of the seating is down the left field line. A covered grandstand sits behind home plate with adequate seating down both foul lines. There is plenty of room in both foul territories. The view behind home plate is probably one of the best views a fan can ask for in any ballpark. The covered grandstand offers fans a shelter during inclement weather.

The park's capacity is 7,500. It is 327-feet down the left field line, 401-feet to deep center field and 327-feet down the right field line.
