Central Michigan baseball boasts of some of the top facilities in the Mid-American Conference, beginning with Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium and continuing with the indoor Cleveland Family Performance Development Center.

The stadium and field are named in honor of two giants in Central Michigan baseball history, Bill Theunissen and Dave Keilitz.

Theunissen coached the Chippewas from 1953-62, and Keilitz headed the program from 1971-84. Both were standout players as Chippewas, and both also served in several roles during their time at the university.

Theunissen Stadium was unveiled in 2002, moving from its former locale north of Preston Street and adjacent to the famed Finch Fieldhouse, where now the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions building stands.

The baseball stadium was re-christened Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium in 2018.

The stadium seating capacity is 2,046 and includes 400 chair-back seats, concessions, restrooms, outdoor batting cages, and a press box featuring two radio booths. Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for fans and players.

The spacious Keilitz Clubhouse is the Chippewas' home headquarters and includes a locker area, meeting room, training room, coaches locker room, and office.

The Cleveland Family Performance Development Center is an indoor facility covered wall-to-wall in artificial turf and features batting cages and pitching mounds. The 7,710-square-foot facility, which opened in 2017, was funded entirely through donations.

The grounds include a second field directly to the west of the stadium, yet another resource that enables the Chippewas to host several camps and clinics along with high school and travel-team games throughout the spring, summer and fall.

The Chippewas also utilize the Indoor Athletic Complex, which houses the weight room, Dick Enberg Academic Center, team meeting room and turf bay.

The academic center includes a computer lab, a study room, tutors and mentors and houses the offices of the full-time academic staff.
